For people who live in Wallsend or Newcastle CLLD Postcode areas, who are unemployed and with a disability or health condition, or underemployed.
WHAT IS IT?
Create Your Future is a funded art focused employability skills project designed to support you in finding a job, preparing you for further study or gaining work experience as a volunteer.
Each week, you will be supported by a project worker to produce a piece of art which will examine the economic activity, work and commerce of Wallsend.
We will also introduce you to local businesses to explore the different industries, commercial sectors and businesses currently active in the area. This will help to break down the fear of meeting and talking to employers, allowing you to find out more about local employment opportunities and career directions.
So far we have worked with Segedunum, Co-op Funeral Care, Gillian Cross Art, Sintons Law , ME PAT Services and Wallsend Boys Club, and have plans to work with many more local businesses and organisations.
WHO IS IT FOR?
We welcome anyone with an interest to get involved with the project as you can get involved in different ways. The project is funded by North of Tyne CLLD through ESIF.
